In this lecture, we will take a case-based approach on managing the non-traumatic canine hemoabdomen patient, from initial triage and stabilization, through diagnostics, and into the operating room. Participants will gain an understanding of common cardiovascular and hemostatic disturbances in these patients and how to manage them. Beyond the physiology, we will discuss the overall approach to these patients and how to manage owner conversations and expectations.
