Question of the Day

Rostral means towards the nose and is used when referencing direction on the head.  
Caudal means towards the hind end. 
Cranial means towards the head. 
Ventral means towards the underside of the animal. 
Dorsal means towards the topline/back.

Abaxial means AWAY from the midline of the limb. Axial means towards the midline of the limb.  
Abduct means movement of a limb AWAY from the midline. Adduct means moving a limb TOWARDS the midline.

For eyes, remember that OU means both eyes, OD means the right eye, and OS means the left eye.
