About a week ago a pig finishing farm took their first group of pigs to market. About 10% of the remaining pigs developed black tarry stool.
On necropsy the lesions are found in the ileum and small intestine. The mucosa is hyperplastic and there is necrotic debris in the lumen (see image below).
What is the mostly likely pathogen causing these lesions?
