Question of the Day

A four-year-old West Highland White terrier that suffers from generalized non-seasonal pruritus is presented for dermatological evaluation. Exam reveals severe skin lesions characterized by alopecia with marked erythema, hyperpigmentation, and lichenification.
The extremities, inguinal and axillary areas, and the perineum are predominantly affected (see images below). There is also moderate otitis.
After testing to rule out bacterial, yeast, and parasitic infections, cutaneous adverse food hypersensitivity is the top differential.
Which one of the following diagnostic tests is best to perform next?
