Sheep cycle in cold weather (winter) and horses cycle in warm weather (spring-summer).

Horses have an 11-mon gestation, so horses bred in June foal in May of the following year.

Sheep have a 5-mon gestation, so sheep bred in November lamb in March of the following year.

Basic questions on estrous cycles and gestation come up over and over, so commit them to memory for the major animal types at least (cow, horse, dog, cat, sheep/goat, pig).
