Veterinarians

Next Renewal Date: December 31, 2026

Renewal Frequency: Every two years (December 31 of even-numbered years)

Required Subjects: No more than one-third (10 hours) of the required CE may be in non-scientific topics.

Allowed Online: All required CE hours may be completed online through approved providers, including RACE-approved ZukuCE courses, provided the courses are offered by an approved sponsor.

Audit Information: Licensees certify compliance with continuing education requirements at renewal. The Board may request documentation to verify completed CE.

Additional Information: Veterinarians renewing for the first time must complete 15 contact hours of continuing education for each complete calendar year they were licensed during the initial licensing period. Approved CE providers include the AVMA, accredited veterinary schools, state and local veterinary associations, the USDA, government agencies, and RACE-approved providers, including ZukuCE.

Veterinary Technicians

Renewal Frequency: Every 2 years (December 31 of even-numbered years)

Required Subjects: No more than one-third of the required CE may be in non-scientific topics.
