Veterinarians
Next Renewal Date: June 30, 2028
Renewal Frequency: Every 2 years (June 30 of even-numbered years)
Total Required CE credits: 20 hours
Allowed Online: All required CE hours may be completed online through approved providers, including RACE-approved ZukuCE courses, provided the courses are offered by a Board-approved sponsor.
Record Retention: Licensees must maintain their own continuing education records. No specific retention period is specified.
Audit Information: The Board conducts random continuing education audits. Licensees selected for audit have 60 days to submit documentation verifying compliance and should not submit CE certificates with their renewal application unless requested.
Additional Information: Veterinarians who graduate from an accredited veterinary school within one year before their first license renewal are exempt from the continuing education requirement for that renewal. Continuing education must be completed through Board-approved sponsors before renewing an active license.
