Veterinarians
Next Renewal Date: June 30, 2029
Renewal Frequency: Every 3 years on June 30
Total Required CE: 60 hours
Required Subjects: No more than 20 hours may be in practice management.
Allowed Online: Up to 30 hours may be completed through approved distance education, including RACE-approved ZukuCE courses.
Audit Information: Licensees must submit a continuing education record with renewal and provide supporting documentation upon request by the Board.
Additional Information: New graduates are exempt from CE for initial licensure. Up to 20 excess CE hours may be carried forward to the next renewal period. Graduate-level coursework may be accepted for CE credit.
Veterinary Technicians
Next Renewal Date: December 31, 2026
Renewal Frequency: Every 3 years on December 31
Total Required CE: 30 hours
Required Subjects: No more than 10 hours may be in practice management.
Allowed Online: Up to 15 hours may be completed through approved distance education, including RACE-approved ZukuCE courses.
Audit Information: Veterinary technicians must submit a continuing education record with renewal and provide documentation upon request by the Board.
Additional Information: Up to 10 excess CE hours may be carried forward to the next triennial renewal. First-renewal CE requirements are prorated based on the year of initial registration, with technicians registered during the third year of the cycle exempt from CE for their first renewal.
