Veterinarians
Next Renewal Date: November 30, 2026
Renewal Frequency: Annually on November 30
Total Required CE: 10 hours annually
Required Subjects: Up to 4 of the 10 required hours may be earned in non-scientific subjects related to veterinary practice, such as communication skills, medical record keeping, stress management, or practice management.
Allowed Online: Up to 10 hours may be completed online through approved continuing education, including ZukuCE.
Record Retention: Licensees must maintain complete CE records for the current reporting period plus the two previous reporting periods. Records must include course titles, dates, locations, sponsors, hours earned, and certificates of attendance or completion.
Audit Information: CE records should not be routinely submitted with renewal. The Board may conduct an audit to verify compliance, and licensees must provide timely and complete documentation when requested.
Additional Information: The CE reporting period runs from December 1 through November 30. Up to 10 excess CE hours, excluding self-study, may be carried forward to the next reporting period. A maximum of 2 hours may be earned through approved self-study.

Allowed Online: Up to 5 hours may be completed online through approved continuing education, including ZukuCE.
Record Retention: Veterinary technicians must maintain complete CE records for the current reporting period plus the two previous reporting periods. Records must include course titles, dates, locations, sponsors, hours earned, and certificates of attendance or completion.
Audit Information: The Board may audit veterinary technicians to verify CE compliance. Licensees must provide timely and complete responses and supporting documentation when requested.
Additional Information: The CE reporting period runs from December 1 through November 30. CE may be carried forward for one renewal year; credit cannot be carried over more than one renewal year after it is earned.
