Veterinarians
Next Renewal Date: January 1, 2027
Renewal Frequency: Annually on January 1
Total Required CE: 15 hours annually
Required Subjects: CE must relate to the treatment and care of patients and consist of clinical veterinary medicine courses or courses that enhance patient safety, such as medical recordkeeping or OSHA compliance.
Allowed Online: No specific online CE limit is stated. RACE-approved CE is accepted, including qualifying ZukuCE courses.
Record Retention: 2 years following renewal. Licensees must maintain original documentation verifying the date and subject of the course, CE hours earned, and certification from an approved sponsor.
Audit Information: Licensees attest to CE compliance when renewing. The Board conducts random audits, and licensees selected for audit must provide supporting documentation within 14 days of notification, unless the Board grants an extension.
