Veterinarians
Next Renewal Date: December 15, 2027
Renewal Frequency: Every 2 years (December 15 of odd-numbered years)
Total Required CE: 30 hours every 2 years
Required Subjects: At least 25 of the 30 hours must relate to scientific topics pertinent to veterinary medicine.
Allowed Online: All 30 required CE hours may be completed online. RACE-approved CE is accepted, including qualifying ZukuCE courses.
Record Retention: Veterinarians must maintain copies of their CE documentation for at least five years.
Audit Information: Licensees attest to CE compliance when renewing and do not routinely submit CE certificates. Documentation must be provided if requested by the Board.
Additional Information: Veterinarians are exempt from CE for their first renewal following initial licensure. CE must be completed during the applicable two-year licensing period. The Board may waive CE requirements when exceptional circumstances, such as prolonged illness or disability, prevent compliance.

Required Subjects: At least 10 of the 15 hours must relate to scientific topics pertinent to veterinary medicine.
