Renewal Frequency: Annually on December 31
Total Required CE: 24 hours every 2 years. Although licenses renew annually, veterinarians complete 24 CE hours on a two-year CE cycle.
Required Subjects: At least 3 of the 24 hours must relate to the responsible prescribing of controlled substances. Practice management CE may not exceed 25% of the total requirement (6 hours).
Allowed Online: The current veterinary rules do not establish a specific limit on online CE hours. Board-approved CE must relate to the practice of veterinary medicine.

Record Retention: No specific retention period is stated. Veterinarians must maintain proof of CE attendance and provide it to the Board as required.

Additional Information: Wyoming does not currently license or register veterinary technicians through the Wyoming Board of Veterinary Medicine. Veterinary technician certification is voluntary and is administered by the Wyoming Veterinary Technician Association (WyVTA), so there is no state-mandated license renewal or CE requirement for veterinary technicians.
